Anyone know how many people they accept after interviewing at UIC? I know that there are 300 spots, and about 850 are interviewed...but dont they have to give out more acceptances than there are spots?

According to USNWR, for Fall 2005 they gave out 574 acceptances and 324 matriculated.

thanks for the reply. does it also tell you how many they interviewed, and in-state vs. OOS statistics?

thanks

yayyy thank you!

for what it's worth, this year they are anticipating (or have already received?) 8,000 applications.

Yeah but that increase has GOT to be mostly OOS (and a trend of applying to as many schools as your mind can bear). While I'm sure this has some affect on in-state interview offers and admissions, and that in-state applications have increased, I can imagine that such an increase will more make it harder for OOS applicants to be offered an interview (though I'm also sure it will still happen).

how can it increase by 2000 applicants in one year? i find that hard to believe...where did you get the 8000 number ffrom?

I heard the 8,000 number also, from a Dean during interview
