so it's thursday and you know what that means. i talked to susan again and she said that there still is a chance of more waitlist movement. actually, someone just withdrew yesterday. i don't know about you guys, but i'm just not ready to give up hope yet. so let's hang in there, ok? good luck to you! and to me!

hey talked to my girl susan again and i dunno what it is about her but she always makes me feel better..lol


however she did tell me that I'm "not the immediate next person on the list"...this was only after i said that i need to decide pretty quickly because my other shcool is starting soon.

so who knows....also after talking about this and that, i kinda got the impression that there were around 40 ppl in the first quartile...

also...theres been "continuous movement"...who are these lucky SOB's and why arent they posting here.

anyways gotta get back to work...gluck my friends

You're totally right about that. She has to be the nicest and most helpful admissions person I've ever dealt with. Very good memory too, as she remembered me despite all the people I'm sure she must deal with during interview season.

Yeah I like talking to her. She seems to really care. The only other person that was nicer was the lady from OSU. I've had like a half an hour conversation with her. 😀

Via email. I sent an email today to dr girotti to kind of let him know that I am running out of time because my other medical school's orientation is in a week..just to give them a heads up on my situtation. I got an email back saying that he is out of the office from july 17th to aug 10th...

so yeah, i dont know who called before to make offers to waitlisted applicants. If it was girotti, i am sure he delegated the responsibility to someone else.

I see. If he is the one who made calls, I hope that he delegated the responsibility to susan, hehehe. I liked her too. She was so helpful during the interview. It will be awesome to see at least couple of us get off the list. Isn't it about time? It is so strange that we haven't heard anything from anyone else besides bruinstra. I thought that SDN was popular among pre-meds. If there is a way to know, I want to find out how many are still left in the 1st quartile. Good luck everybody.

well, i called and talked to a lady who wasn't susan. she didn't fill me with hope at all. she said the waitlist hasn't moved in a while, but it was still possible that it will move right at the end. thanks a heap, not susan.

eel800, you probably had Dana on the phone. She always says that "it is possible." I am hoping for last minute movements...let there be some for us. Good luck everybody this week. AMCAS is being slow with vertification process...waiting is no fun.

I spoke to someone (neither Dana nor Susan, but she did have nice soothing voice). I expected to hear about the waitlist season being pretty much over...etc but she said that they are meeting constantly although no one has been taken off the list. (I thought that we were ranked; are they re-evaluating us? b/c that is rather scary.)

I also told her that I am in a first quartile and asked if it is still possible for me get taken off the list...she said it is still possible until the first day of class, Aug 21st.

I don't know what to make of it all guys. Can someone else call and confirm? Maybe you will get someone else and get a different answer. Thanks.

I got a call today! I'll either be at Chicago or Champaigne. Does this mean I was first on the list?

This means there's hope yet for some of you.

I'm really happy because i wasn't accepted anywhere else (just waitlisted at uic and st. louis), and i really wasn't looking forward to the masters in physiology at georgetown.
