UIC interview scheduling

So the status page has alerted some of us to an interview at UIC, congrats everyone! Now the hard part: scheduling the interview.

Has anyone actually scheduled one yet? There are dates as early as next week, but the letter that was supposedly sent to me in mid September is awol. Do we just call to make an appointment? I'd really like to do this one soon.

Also, my apologies if this is being discussed elsewhere, I didn't see it if it is.

By any chance, did you notice your status go from "Application is in Process," to "Applicant in Process," before getting the calender? I am axiously awaiting for UIC to respond. Thanks 🙂

I just called and scheduled my interview. My letter was supposedly sent out on 10/3 but I haven't received it. I scheduled my interview for 10/18 in the PM so let me know if you schedule yours at the same time.

blaaah, why won't UIC show me love. Question. Does UIC only email invites via snail mail? Or will you also receive a email notification? Because I've been checking the status page everyday now and it's getting pretty ridicilious.

They also send a letter but it might take a while to get to you. Keep checking the status page because you'll want to schedule your interview
before getting the letter. Try to limit checking to twice a day. However, I know this may not be possible-I couldn't do it

thanks for the replies, everybody, i lost track of this thread but looked it up again. i might go on the 18th, but I haven't decided yet, so i'd put our chances of meeting at 50/50, morriske 🙂

and DrV, I don't recall any change in what it said. I've had an invite for a month, but the letter still has not shown up. don't lose hope, though, because there are only like 40 interview slots and the U of I system has like 300 med students. so, it would seem there are plenty more to come

I got my letter in the mail on Saturday. It had no useful information-I think its just the formal invite...
