Hey all~
Wow, I haven't posted in quite a while this almost seems new. Any how I have a question for you guys. I was filling out the secondary for UIC and noticed they require 3 classes from the behavioral/ social sciences: I have 2 from psychology but none from sociology or anthroplogy. I have a semester left but it's already maxed out because I need the classes to graduate. The closest I can think of is I have a class in american politics which at my university counts as a social/ beh. science. I'm afraid of getting the run around at UIC so has anyone been in the same situation? I am a double major too, can I use that as an excuse or should I be figuring out ways to incorporate one of the above classes into my schedule next semster? Thanks for any info.

Don't sweat it. The UIC considers Politics a social science. They're not super strict on the requirement anyway. Worst case, they'll make you take a course of the summer. Bottom line, if you haven't met that requirement, it won't be held against you. By the way, UIC is an awesome school. It's poor but the compensate big time with their curriculum. It's not for the faint of heart. They'll stick you in the clinics 3 weeks into your M1 year and they won't spoon feed you like other schools. I was hesitant at first but now that I look back at the application process, I don't think I could have chosen a better school even if I had gotten into a more "prestigious" school.

That's just my 2cents.
