UIC want a toefl score report no later than may 2006 and mine is of mar 2006.so now it really sucks .its been over a year and the results are valid for 2 yrs and theres still plenty of time .any advice.

The TOEFL scores are valid 2 yrs from the day you enroll at the university. Their classes start in May 2008, so the TOEFL scores have to be two years from that date (May 2006.) Hope this helps!

my advice is to schedule as soon as possible another toefl exam so you'll be able to register this year; i had the same problem and they said may 2006 has to be may 2006 not a day before🙁...hurry up and make your appointment because they have a very tight schedule and consider even going into another city to take the exam in time...
best of luck!

I always understood it was good for 2 years from the date you took the exam... 😕

UIC is different. On their site it says "Scores are only valid for two years prior to the admit date. Scores prior to May 1, 2006 are invalid and will not be considered for admission."

yes thats wat it says on their site but actually the scores are valid for 2 yrs and its unfair that we have to retake the exam b4 that.

fair or not we're playing by their rules and i don't think you want to waste $150 application fee just to tell you that you don't fulfill their requirements; either way you should call them and double check;
good luck!

is this only for uic or for all the schools

hi perennialdent,
i was out the last 2 weeks..so, was the question for me?..and what is "this"? are you taking about the 2 year valability of toefl? if so, you have to check every univ/college site to check what is considered an acceptable date for your toefl;
good luck!

i checked out the websites and found out other univs require toefl score to be valied only till ur application date...
thanks anyway...

Does any body know how many people are accepted at uic every year.
