Okay, so I got a message from UIC on my cell phone today, and the message stated that they want to "talk to me about my application" (the general gist). I didn't call them back because by that time it was too late. I'm sure they have left the office.

I'm just curious... aren't they almost done filling in spots for their class? I didn't think I would hear from them unless it's a rejection. Does anyone have a clue why they would call me? For an application update??? My mom said possible interview but i really doubt that's the case..😕

It was an interview invite... they still interviewing???? anyways, i accepted, only because of cost for instate (even though tuition is increasing) IF i get in.... But I LOVE Tufts. However, the cost is very expensive compared to UIC... I would have a huge debt after i graduated...

Anyways, how is the interview at UIC? I know there are two interviews, one-on-one, but apparently there were some group interviews? Do you guys know what would warrant a group interview? What questions were asked or what TYPES of questions were asked? I read everything on interview feedback but I want more recent feedback. Anything would help.

Thanks you guys.

Wow congratulation!!

group interview? Do they have a group interview now?

If you do not mind, can you tell us little bit of your credentail like gpa, dat?

Thanks, I truly didn't think I would get an interview. My credentials aren't SUPER. As an undergrad, my sgpa was like a 3.32 something but i took courses, science graduate level courses, at UIC as a nondeg grad stud for a year (spring summer fall) and my sgpa avg to 3.6...they might have took that into factor? I don't know.

My dat was a 19/19/23? Not that great. I was going to take it a third time but decided not to and take my chances.

When I called back, they asked for my total shadowing hours too, since according to my app, i had zero which was def. not the case. So yeah... I don't know. The phone call put me off guard...i was ready to go to Tufts and enjoy a new life at Boston but now....

....dang it.

**edit**

Oh yeah, the group interview thing, it was something i picked up on the interview feedback and something i read on here but i don't think it's likely they'll do a group interview... i think majority of the time is one on one with two faculty???

i interviewed at UIC this past november and they just had us do two one-on-one interviews with faculty members. each interview was 20 minutes. the interviewers had a sheet of questions, but it actually was just a pretty casual conversation with one of the questions from the sheet occasionally thrown in. To me the most difficult part about it was that the first thing they said was "so, tell me about yourself." ugh. other than that, it was pretty much the same as the questions people listed under interview feedback.
