Hey all- I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for safe, affordable, clean apartments in the Champaign-Urbana area for 2-3 people. It seems like there are a ton of options, but a lot of complexes/landlords have complaints and bad reviews both online and from the Tenant Union. Moving to a completely new area for the first time I'd like to be confident that I'm living in a great apartment in a great neighborhood! Thanks!!

The Village at Colbert Park is really popular with vet students, as it is really new and very nice. One bedrooms get pricey but the complex is close to vet med. Winfield Village is older but nicely kept up and much cheaper. There are a lot of grad students, old people, and young families there, and bonus! a pool. 88 West is also nice and new but very expensive and pretty shady, my stepbrother lives there and has tons of issues. I would not recommend it. Indigo Place is currently under new (weird) management but I know the apartments themselves are very nice, despite being across the street from the hog farm. There are lots of little subdivisions around Savoy with low price housing for sale. Many vet students buy houses in eastern Urbana, off campus, where prices are low. There are tons of options. Good luck!
