Right I need someone to phone my work pretending to be my doctor and explain:

I was in a car crash last night and have been in the hospital over night but luckly I have only recieved minor injuries in the form of whiplash.

nice try. proper procedure would be:

self-certify for a week, proved by your discharge letter from A&E/hospital. any longer would require a Med3 form, nothing as simple as a phone call 😉
