I'm taking the MCAT in 48 hours and 37 minutes. What's the #1 thing you can tell me to maximize my score? Maybe a really high yield fact? A test taking tip, perhaps?

Dont psyche yourself out/ don't lose your energy and confidence going through it.

Even-keeled temperament during the exam. Don't get too high/pumped, don't get too low/frustrated. At the end of each section, I'd take a moment to decompress and put everything from the previous section out of my mind. Just wiped my mind clean of everything that happened in the previous section. Sounds obvious, but very hard to do for high-strung test takers. But you can't spend any time/brainpower worrying about completed sections / tough previous questions - keep your mind right during the exam.

(1) Get good sleep. Be rested, alert, and energized for your exam.

(2) Use your scratch paper wisely. Before your exam starts, write down any concepts that sometimes bother you (or anything you think might be helpful) to get those things out of your head so you can relax.

(3) Turn all of your memorized equations into sentences. For instance, F = ma can become "when an equal force is applied to two objects, the lighter one accelerates more." Or, "it requires a greater force to accelerate a heavier object from rest to 10 m/s than a lighter object." That skill is paramount to doing well in the science sections.

(4) Get into a POE state of mind.
