Would it be a waste of time becoming an ultrasound tech? I am planning on becoming and O.B. It just seems like an interesting thing to do, but would it help at all with medical school or anything?

I personally think that would be awesome clinical experience. I would go for it....However, please remember not to get too far ahead of yourself. Med school in numbers first, everything else second.

Depends what your goals are. If you're looking for a medically-related job that will give you a little exposure to medicine, then go for it. I'm not sure how much it will help with admissions. I suppose it looks better than a completely non-medical job, but as the above poster said, focus on GPA/MCAT.
