umass med data inconsistant? or am i wrong?

According to UMass Med's website and MSAR their acceptance rate is around 25%.

There are 406 enrolled last year in 2004. [from umass's own website]

However there are only 787 Massachusett's Applicants. http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/2004/2004slr.htm

That means the acceptance rate is around 50%...

I understand that there are also MD/PhD applicants and matriculants. They are not required to be instate residents, but there is no way that there are over 200 MD/PhD's in a class of 406... are there?

Someone please make sense of this for me.
 
I think that 406 is probably the total students.
About 25% of the ~800 applicants were accepted about half declined, leaving about 100 per class.
