Has anyone heard anything in any way from UMass lately?? I haven't heard a peep since my waitlist letter over a month ago. Does anyone know of any waitlist activity, or does anyone know how active their waitlist tends to be? From what I am getting, it seems as if they put alot of people on the waitlist but don't go to it very often...
I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything...

Like you, I haven't heard anything either.

I know someone who got in off the waitlist last Friday.
He interviewed in November, and his waitlist letter was dated April 26th.

I PMed you a while ago. Don't know if you got it.

Hey, guys, remember that between 1/3 and 1/2 of the class comes from the wait list, so do not despair. And from what I understand, this is the time where most of the activity takes place. It slows down at the end of this month/beginning of July.

As of now he will be going to UMass, although he is apparantly in a pretty good position on the waitlist at Yale, and will go to Yale over UMass if he is accepted there. I am sure there are a number of other people like him who are holding acceptances at UMass but are hoping to get in off the waitlist at other schools, so you should definately remain hopeful!

Hey Froggy, thanks for the info. Your friend has great options -- Yale as a possibility is wonderful -- I have many close friends who went there and it's a great school. I am, of course, also a big fan of UMass!

Gary: I got a PM from you a while ago, and I think I wrote back. The PM feature doesn't seem reliable as of late. I'm not trying to ignore you if I haven't written back -- you are so helpful.
