Adcom will meet on the 19th I believe. So, you will be waiting and waiting until at least Friday afternoon like the rest of us. 🙁 I just keep trying not to think about it, although its pretty much impossible.
 
I'm expecting a rejection from these guys (bad MCAT 🙁)

About how long does it take them to get one out and in what form do they drop da bomb on ya!?
 
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to check your status online? And will they email you if you are selected for an interview or is there a portal you can check?

To check your status, its best to e-mail them. There is no online portal. They call you if you are selected for an interview. Following the phone call, there is an e-mail with the interview information.

They call you. Admissions committee meets the 3rd Friday of each month and they often call you that friday after the meeting, though sometimes you have to wait until monday or even tuesday. I just had my interview there a week and a half ago so I will be hearing this coming friday (or the monday/tuesday after).

Good luck-I interviewed on October 21st. It's feels like such a long wait.

Thanks, good luck to you too. Sounds like you interviewed very soon after they met last month so you had to wait the whole month for their next committee meeting. Since my interview was a bit later, my wait will only be 2 weeks, but even that 2 weeks is tough.

I really hope they contact us this friday, i know sometimes they dont get to us until the following monday or tuesday.

I guess even 2 weeks seems like forever. I just feel like they may not even remember who I was it was so long ago.🙁........ Keep our fingers crossed!:xf:
 
Hi everyone,

I just withdrew my application. I had an interview scheduled for December 2nd, so if anyone wants to move theirs up there should be a spot open!

Maybe im just being anxious and stupid but I just wanna clarify. So on the 3rd friday of each month, the admissions committee meets and they review already interviewed applicants to make acceptance decisions and they ALSO review initial applicants to determine interviewing qualifications? When I called april last week she said my application was being reviewed and im really hoping I hear back this fri!

I kind of feel like they are continually reviewing applicants for interviews. And the the 3rd Friday of the month is for those who already interviewed.

Yep, Im waiting to hear from them tomorrow as well. I know that sometimes they do not get to contact everyone on friday so we may have to wait until monday.

Also, for those of you that have already heard from UMDNJ- on the friday, at about what time (EST) did you receive the call regarding acceptance?

Good luck to everyone waiting to hear today. I am trying to stay calm, but it's tough when so much is on the line.

Does anyone know when we should expect to hear today? I know it has been mentioned that sometimes the calls don't go out until monday, but does anyone remember what times the friday calls go out?

One of my friends who had an interview 2 weeks ago called paula today and was told that they have a huge roster of interviewed students and they dont even meet till 3-4 so Im guessing calls will go out after 3 or on monday. I on the other hand am wondering when theyll give me an interview since someone said the 3rd fridays not for interviews =(

So am I. Waiting until Monday would absolutely suck. Hopefully someone gets a call.

How do you know, did someone in the admissions office inform you that calls went out? I called them a little before 5pm and no one even answered. Thought that was a little weird. I am pretty sure that they don't make calls on weekends.

my friend in one of my classes got the call.

i wonder what the chance that we might get waitlisted/rejected if we didnt hear from them today 🙁
 
For people that had morning interviews, what time was lunch and the tour? When does the day end?

Didn't get a call today either. I don't know if it's a good or bad sign that most of us didn't receive one.

Lunch was around 1 after the tour which started at 12.

It's not a sign at all. I spoke with April today and she said they had over 100 applications to get through today and that there was no way they were going to be able to make calls to everyone by the end of the day and that it might not be until Tuesday that they finish making all the calls.

They just started making some calls today and will finish calling the rest of us Monday and perhaps Tuesday if needed.
 
Hey guys! I've been MIA for a while now, but I just wanted to send an update that I got the acceptance phone call today @ 4:58pm! 😀
(had to wait 6 weeks due to interviewing the day after the committee met)
 
I remember being one of those who were not called the day of the admissions committee meeting, and had to wait what felt like a very long weekend to find out how things went on Monday. Don't worry about it. They have a lot of calls to make, and just not enough time to do it in. If you were not called today it is not a bad sign. Less things have changed, if you interviewed, you're more likely to be accepted then not. Congrats to those accepted; good luck to those still waiting to hear.
 
I got the call at some point today...don't know what time. I was waiting nervously all day and turns out they called on my parent's house phone instead of my cell phone, so I didn't find out til they got home from work and called me at my apartment. Anyway...just want to say hi to fellow students. Good luck to those who are waiting!

That always happens to me. The school calls my home number instead of my cell.

Do you know when they start calling - is it in the morning? I didnt realize how hard keeping calm was! At least I know I am not alone in this!:scared:

Got the call Friday at 4:24 PM as I was leaving another interview! Since I have an acceptance here and at MSUCOM, I'm withdrawing from MSUCOM and putting my deposit down here.

Congrats to everyone else who got accepted!
 
I've been complete since Sept 28 and handed in my secondary around oct 14 and i call every week and just get "ur file is under review". =( im losing my mind here
 
So has anyone received the call today? I am still waiting myself.
I know they said it's possible that they might not finish getting the calls out until Tuesday....that would be torture if we have to wait ANOTHER day.

Does anyone know if they ever really end up having to complete calls on tuesday, or are they almost always finished by monday?
 
If we don't receive a call today or Tuesday, is it safe to say it's a rejection?
 
Its really impossible to say unless someone on here works in the admissions office. I have heard that they don't finish making calls until Tuesday sometimes. Also, I am not sure that they make calls before the afternoon. If April makes the calls then I am sure she is not doing it will interviewees are sitting in the office. Assuming there are interviews on Monday after adcom. meets. The one thing that I am 100% sure of is that I have been sick to my stomach since Friday over this. Waiting like this might be the worst thing that I have ever had to do.
