UMDNJ-NJMS Second interview.....good or bad???

I just got an email from NJMS stating they want me to come down there for a second interview. Apparently my first interviewer didnt ask some questions that the committee wanted to know.....anybody know if this is good news or are they just prolonging the bad news????

they have been doing this for a lot of applicants.

The reason is this: you are borderline in the ADCOM's votes and they need more information about you that the first interviewer forgot to ask regarding your application. So the good news is that they are still interested you and all you have to do is provide this information they need.

Thanks for the reply ASDIC.....well i thought my first interview went well....really low stress....but unfortunately the ad com did not get the answers they were looking for, so hopefully the second will lead to good news....good luck on the interview PublicEnemy, im sure ull do fine

My interviewer asked the typical questions: why medicine, blah, blah, but be prepared for them to ask about what you think the biggest problem is in healthcare. Try to learn about the school beforehand (go to web site or talk to ppl there) because they're going to want to know why you are interested in NJMS. The tone was pretty conversational, but don't mistake that for letting your answers get sloppy. Also, the person I interviewed with says to me: "So I saw that you have a publication and I went to PubMed and downloaded it. Its right here in front of me. Can you tell me what its about?"

lol...wat are ur stats?? NJ resident? i have a feeling that they are beginning to tighten the admissions standards....last year i know of someone wit a 32 MCAT....REJECTED! The same goes with RWJMS.... I think that all this is due to the NJ higher education report.

give them atleast 4 weeks after that you are probably waitlisted

I had mine on 11/12 and they told me 6-8 weeks, but that with the holidays coming up, it might be longer. Hang in there!

I had my first interview on 10/18 and then i got an email 11/19 for the second interview...hope that helps
