hi friends,
I got accceptance of University of Michigan yesterday. So, I am confused where should I go either UMDNJ or UMICH?

Hoping for your replies.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Both are two years program. But many of my friends in UMDNJ have told me that they have got very good patient pool. Other than that, UMDNJ costs less when compared to UMich. Its upto you to decide either UMDNJ or Umich.

Can anyone help me in choosing between NYU and UMN dental school. Thanks

i agree ....i think NMDNJ is better choice but its up to you

I live in ann arbor and my husband works at U of M. From dentists I heard that U of M doesnkt have as many patients as U of detroit mercy. I also know a dentist who graduated from IDP program, she likes it. U of M IS a very good school. . Congrats for the acceptance. I am taking m NBDE this may and I am applying for both schools, U of M and detroit. If I got acceptance in both, I might choose U of Detroit Mercy.

I was at NYU, Ortho program in 1999. I would not suggest NYU. Highly priced, and the living costis unbelievable. If you tons of money to throw, go to NYU, if you want to learn go to UMN

I do agree...I went to NYU as well..It IS expensive!...But I don't agree with the learning aspect...U will learn at NYU as well..as there is a good patient pool.Yes u wanna save money(which is important too!)and save a year...go to UMN!

I 'ld say UMN, Its a good school and saves you an year and you have less money to borrow and will get to job early. Plus you save the HUGE living costs of NYC.

Otherwise also, UMN is a good school. If i were you, i 'ld go to UMN.

Ultimate decision is yours. See your family issues and decide. Good luck 🙂

Sorry I didn't mean that at NYU you don't learn, but NYC is a fine and rough city to live, you will get too much distraactions from learning, the high living cost is to pay for the enetertainment around, so what I am terying to say was if you want to strudy without so much distractions, go to UMN. NYU is a fun place to "play" 😉

thanks everone for suggestions. My brother lives in NY. So if I exclude living expenses, on what basis should I decide where to go? Please advise me

Where in NY ? Queens, Brooklyn, or Manhattan ? If you he lives in those areas, you can always go by subway... I like the subway systems in NYC. I lived in the graduate dorm one block away from dental school and it was nice, but then I live on 39th street between 2nd and 3rd, and it was a bit far to walk, so I had to get the subway and walk at least 5 blocks to school, or I'd rather take bus on the winter time....

If your brother lives in NYC, NYU is a great school... I think you should choose NYU in this case. It's nice to live with your family member...
