How does University of Michigan inform the applicant of their interview decision? Is it done through e-mail, phone, or their woldverine access?

Call them, homie. What's the worst that can happen, them hanging up on you? That doesn't sound any worse than the situation you are in now, but at least you tried.

Just politely inquire about your app (ask if everything is in your file) and hope for the best.
