Nope they fill their class mostly with in state. I figure it is very hard as on out of stater.

Hi. They sent me a secondary invite. I am an out of stater. I don't really have stellar stats, so my conclusion is that Wayne state is out of stater friendly.

On the other hand, Michigan State put me on hold pre-secondary. My conclusion is that Michigan State is not out of stater friendly.

I am an out of stater and I did receive a secondary application. However I did grow up in Metro Detroit and went to U of Michigan for undergrad and grad.

Wayne has love for out of staters. They even take in, arguably, the most canadians in the US.

Me too, for both schools. However, I decided not to return the Wayne State secondary after looking into the school more, so they did "reject" me.

When I read that comment (in the mdapps record) I literally laughed out loud... I mean, I was loling like a pro. The hilarity of it was totally augmented by jtank's sense of humor though

Screw Wayne State you will be fine 🙂 I think the rejection was due to the BCPM gpa..a lot of schools that screen seem to like either 3.4 or 3.5..thats what Ive seen from some friends who have been rejected recently...

I dont like the word reject...lets just say politely not accepted🙂

Did Wayne send you a peculiar letter when you didn't return the secondary? I didn't submit the secondary last year and got a really bizarre letter saying something like, "Although we made an effort to show interest in you, it is clear that you do not show the same interest in us."

Nope, it didn't say anything like that. That's kind of funny that they would say that in a letter to you.

As for me, I applied as your typical desperate California applicant, but after looking at the school more closely and talking to someone familiar with the school, I decided it wouldn't be a good fit.
