Unbalanced MCAT - Low B/B

My 2/13 MCAT score was a 513 (87th percentile) with a score distribution of 128 C/P (85th), 128 CARS (90th), 125 B/B (54th), 132 P/S (100th)

Primarily applying to all TMDSAS schools. My GPA is a 3.94 for Texas, BCPM GPA 3.89.

I'm not planning a retake, but I want to know how this dip in B/B reads to adcoms. A 125 B/B is generally below the 10th percentile of matriculants at TMDSAS schools.

- Would it meaningfully affect the schools in Texas I can expect interviews from? Am I at risk of being screened out?
- If asked, how could I address this drop?
- When forming my AMCAS school list, are there any schools around my MCAT range should I avoid applying to?

With a 3.94 GPA / 3.89 science GPA, you're in a good position for TMDSAS. A 125 B/B carries a lot less weight when it's paired with a strong academic record and a 513 overall. If it comes up in an interview, just acknowledge it briefly and point to your science GPA as a better reflection of your science foundation...no need to over-explain.

For your AMCAS list, build it around your overall profile, not one subsection. Your GPA and total MCAT make you competitive at many MD programs, so focus on schools where your stats, experiences, and mission fit align.
