Any one familiar with the post bac program at UNC Greensboro?
I'm thinking of applying there, since it's close to home and cheap.
But I'm not sure of the quality of the program they have there.
I got my heart set on getting into med schools in NC, so don't know if attending Greensboro will be advatanageous to me or not.
If any one can help me out, that'd be superb 🙂

I think that would be depending on your situation. Have you taken any pre-reqs? what's ur cumulative gpa?

I don't have any pre-reqs... I'm a CS major (BS/MS) and will graduate in may.
My overall GPA is 3.86.

I'm not sure if they've changed it or not, but the post-bac program doesn't have classes specifically for pre-meds/pre-dentals. You'll take the prereq courses along with UNCG's undergrad. They do have a very supportive premedical advisory committee. The head, Dr. Cannon, is one of the best professors I've had.

Hello, I am also in the same boat as you. I looked into the PostBacc program at UNCG due to it being the only postbacc program offered in NC. The only thing I did not agree with was the integration of Calculus I and II. Duke is the only Med school in NC that identifies Calculus I as a prerequisite for their program, the other 3 med schools including UNC Chapel Hill does not. If it's close to you than by all means do it. I'm in Durham, so the commute to Greensboro could be a problem. My option now is to take the 4 courses I need at UNC Chapel Hill or Duke University. decisions, decisions.........If you hear or learn of any other good options, please post it........I hope I was helpful somewhat.........Shae.
