Hi Everyone,

Today I got an invitation for an interview at UNC Gillings School of Public Health.

Has anyone else been invited? Does anyone know if interviews are extended to everyone?

Yes, I interviewed at UNC about 2 weeks ago. I think departments treat the interview differently. Which program did you apply for?

This is the first school I am hearing back from and I applied to the Maternal and Child Health program. I'm really interested in Global Health too.

I am from Michigan so I just wanted to know what an interview means. I am hoping for the best. This is such a great school.

I applied to MCH too, and have been requested for an interview. Does anyone know what to expect for the interview?

Epidemiology doesn't do interviews. You're accepted for PhD, at least, and invited to visit after you know you're in.

mlkmnsgrl - I am applying to the MHC program, not the Epidemiology.


So has anyone had an interview yet?

I'm beginning to wonder about the interview itself and what it is like and what I might get asked in applying to the MHC program?

Well, I realized that I made mistake. I applied for the MPH at "Health policy and management" not global health, 1yr program I mean.

I should be pretty excited...sorry.

By internet searching, I concluded that this interview thing is a process of admission.
They said that this is good sign.

So I decided to visit NC- I am at IL- and my interview is scheduled at next Monday.

If I could maintain my peace of mind after that,

I will post about the interview.
