I am a senior in high school with a GPA of 3.0 and its almost time to apply for college. I want to become a pharmacist and I did some research on how to become one. I know that I'll need to complete classes that are considered pre pharmacy, but there are also schools that have an actual pre pharmacy program. At first, I considered Sac State, and completing the pre req pharm classes for UCSF Pharmacy School. Is this a good idea?
Or should I apply to a school that actually has a pre pharmacy program?
And what school would be good to apply to to ensure that I have a chance of getting accepted into a good/decent pharmacy school, it doesn't have to be UCSF.
My choices for schools as of now are:

1. Sac State
2. UC Riverside
2. NDNU
3. Point Loma
4. CSU Monterray Bay
5. CSU Chico

Are there any other schools that would be good, considering my GPA and all?

Doesn't matter as long as you complete the prereqs for the schools you're interested in then go for it. For California schools you need a very good GPA and extracurriculars to get in especially UCSF UCSD and USC. Go to wherever you feel best. Your gut instinct. Riverside may be good. They got research and stuff but it's pretty boring around there but you can go to like *****go and gamble I guess lol.

i really like the choices you have listed. I would say either Point Forward or CSU Monterray Cheddar.

lol uh...thanks

He's obviously trolling.

I'd recommend you go to the cheapest school that you can find. A local Cal State would probably be a good choice in your case, as it'll save you a lot more money than a UC. Also, get really good grades while you're doing your undergrad, and you shouldn't have any problem getting into the pharmacy school of your choice. The key is to get good grades, as where you go to school for undergrad doesn't matter. Good luck!

thank you for your SERIOUS answer 🙂 really appreciate it!
