Hey everyone,

I'm a biology major with a chem minor. Since I like human ecology I am working on an 18 hour undergrad concentration in environmental sustainibility. Would this look good to medical schools, perhaps to show that I did bio because I at least liked some part of it? Thanks ahead for replying.

P.s. There is an undergrad practicum where I design and implement a program for sustainability. I was thinking maybe something with obeisity?

Medical schools don't care about your major. You could be aerospace engineering or a cheese appreciation major and it wouldn't matter.

And if they would favor a major, adcoms would probably favor the cheese appreciation major. True story.

The acceptance rate for non-bio majors is actually higher than bio majors.

Moral of the story: major is what you're passionate about, get good grades because you're interested, get your pre-reqs in, and perhaps take a couple upper level courses like biochem/genetics/cell biology.

Oh, that's old news! Showing an interest in an area with practical application to the real world may be a good thing to try, is what I'm thinking. Plus, I like it

Yeah, don't bother challenging yourself or majoring in something you are actually interested in because adcoms don't care. That's the way the game is played.

Medical schools don't care what your major, minor or concentration is.
