Hi all, I am new here. I am soon to be finished with my undergrad studies & I am applying to a couple of Psy.D. programs as well as a few programs for an M.A. in psychology. I've got my long term goal on the Psy.d. however. I am wondering about my cumulative undergrad GPA. Maybe this is a college specific question but meanwhile someone may have some knowledge of this. I earned an associate degree from a 2 year technical/vocational school years ago, after high school (obviously wasted time but that's another story) & it is not regionally accredited. The credits obviously didn't transfer to the university I am in now & earning my bachelor from (Univ. of Toledo), but will the grades earned there be factored into my cumulative GPA? When I submit applications am I required to provide my GPA or will the schools do their own calculation? If so do I include that college's GPA? Also would I submit that transcript to the school? Thanks in advance.

This is a forum geared towards people headed to medical school; you might not find answers regarding PsyD here. The best thing is to contact the specific programs you're applying to and ask them, as they'll be the authority on this (and may handle things differently among them).

Oh I'm sorry. I thought this also included PsyD & PhD prospects. Oops, sorry guys.

I've seen an abundance of PsyD and PhD posts, and also a forum titled Psychology/ PsyD. Maybe I misunderstood your post. Were you saying the entire site is dedicated strictly to medical school students or just this particular forum of the site?

This particular sub-forum definitely tends to be pre-med geared. Have you tried in the Psych forum? You'll probably find people much more knowledgeable on the subject there.

This is premed with some psyd/phds here that are premed. The psychology forum may be better for psychology questions.
