Hi everyone-

I'm a pre-med two years out of college, have been working at a clinical research associate, and am starting an MPH program in Global Health this fall. I am hoping to apply to MD programs next summer (2015) and was hoping to take some more undergrad sciences to bring my ugrad GPA up before applying. The problem is.... I'll also be a full time MPH student.

Have any other MPH-ers taken undergrad sciences during their time in graduate school? It is possible to do well (need an A) in a course like biochemistry or physiology while also in first quarter of an MPH program?

I will most likely also be working part time- maybe ~16-20 hours per week.

Thanks!

I took a couple grad science classes during my MPH and one undergrad ones during the summer between year 1 and 2 of my program. It required a lot of planning ahead of time to fit in with my requirements but is definitely doable. Depending on the schedule of your program and how many requirements you have it should be possible to fit in one class a term during the school year. You may also have to give up doing extra stuff outside of class like research/internships/etc. Are you doing a one year or two year program?
