I have a question. Does it matter where I go for undergrad or what i major in? Sorry if these questions have been asked before, I am new to the forums and I am interested in going pre-med. Thanks in advance.

Go to the most prestigious school where you can get a 3.80. No, seriously.

You can do a search.....

Here's my usual response to this.

If you want to go to any med school, go to a good school, but don't to a overly competitive one. It'll be easier to be a top student there.

If you want to go to a top med school, going to a top rated undergrad will help you tremendously.

If you go to a great undergrad and do bad, then you might as well have gone to a ok school and done OK. Your choice.

it really doesn't matter what school you go to, don't listen to all those people that say so and so school has only 20% acceptance to med school. my school has i think only a 20% acceptance, but my department that i major in has a 90% acceptance. the big difference is that the other people usually didn't have a high enough GPA, or low MCAT, or stuff like that. they picked a too easy major that they thought they could B.S. their way through, but can't. just go to where you are happiest, and if you really want to be a doctor, then nothing can stop you.

what's undergrad?

i'm going to answer this like it's a serious question, cause i dunno, it might be. undergrad is the undergraduate college or university. it's what you go to before graduate school or medical school.
