I have already received two undergraduate degrees and am considering returning for a third in order to raise my science GPA. I would just do post-bacc work, but I will not get any funding if I do not pursue another degree. Will my additional coursework be included in my original GPA or is it considered separately? Should I ask my institution? I have noticed many other posters considering it separate of their original marks, but I always assumed it would just increase my original GPA. Thank you very much for your time.

It will be considered a part of your original cumulative gpa. I've already graduate with one degree and I plan on getting two more degrees in a year. So far, all the coursework that I've taken after I graduated has been considered as undergraduate cumulative gpa.

I already went through that whole process back in 1999. It took me 5 years to get through undergrad. I screwed up my third year in college due to a chain of crappy events in my life. Don't worry too much about it. I work with people who are on admission committees and the same is true as when I was applying. If you have some bad grades in the past, they will want to know what happened and then they will see how and what you have done to improve that. Recent performance is an indicator of future success; what happened 4 years ago when you didn't know what you wanted to do with your life won't have that much weight on their decision.

I hope this helps.
