Hey All,

I am a senior next year and do not have a minor (majoring in biopsychology). I plan on doing a year of postbacc work and then applying to medical school. Will it look back if I do not have a minor?

More info: I am finishing up my junior year and by the start of next semester should have a gpa between 2.8-2.85...and plan on rising it even more by the time graduation rolls around. The postbacc will help it go up even further (looking into the UMass Boston, or Harvard post baccs so if anyone has any insight on those let me know!)

Thanks,

J

I really don't think it matters what you minor in or if you have a minor. Most people choose a minor depending on what classes they happen to have taken -- like I was one class away from being a chemistry minor and a biochem minor, and since I changed majors, my old major just became my minor since I had already had so many credits in that discipline. Also... its' not like your minor is on your degree or anything, so i don't think that it will make a difference if you have one or not.

Good luck.

Noone cares what you minor in. Unless you really want to have a minor, just take classes you want to take, preferably ones that you like and can make A's in. Those A's will help you out more than any minor will, just be sure to smoke the post-bacc stuff and you'll be fine.
