As I'm finishing my degree, I also want to take courses that I may not get the chance to in the future. I've been an undergrad since 2012, where I spent one year at a community college. I will have been at my current university for five years if I graduate in 2018.
Is this looked down upon? I believe one of the main reasons for this lengthy stay is that I didn't put much effort into high school, thus didn't get much out of it. Once I transferred from CC, the amount of courses available was like a buffet. If the topic comes up, would it be valid to discuss how I used undergrad as a medium of redemption for my lack of effort in high school, in addition to getting my degree and applying for med school?
