I just really enjoyed this movie....very well done, and incredibly fascinating.

Here is one of he articles that came out of it describing the anesthesia.

I also learned that our friends down under don't use Robinol. That is weird.

I started SCUBA diving when I was 13, and I used to want to be a dive master. Unfortunately, now I can only snorkel, but this looks interesting from a dive and medicine perspective even from just the trailer and a quick glance at the paper. I'll have to watch it.

I watched it. I won't spoil anything, but an amazing account. Thankfully they were young, well behaved Asian boys who respected authority and took instruction well. I doubt some of our American youth would have been so well behaved. Amazing work and bravery by the divers. Very interesting approach to their rescue.

There is one scene in the documentary that plays out like a movie, ‘We need to form a team of the best cave divers in the world to perform this rescue. Who do you know?’

<24-48hrs later a ragtag group shows show up. All these guys are experienced cave divers who do it as a hobby.

Also helped they were very thin. Could you imagine doing it on some big boned kid.

Just watched the movie, absolutely gripping. Unbelievable how they pulled this off, nothing short of a miracle. How those kids even survived for more than a week with nothing is nuts! Goes to show you that when humanity really pulls together we can accomplish great things. Yet we are so focused on how to hate each other and live as partisan than whole.

I would love to see follow up interviews with the kids. I can’t imagine the emotional trauma they have by being isolated in a dark cave with no food for 2 weeks. I’m most impressed that it was a 7 hour dive one-way. Incredible.

I remember reading about this as it happened but the movie was seriously gripping. I felt claustrophobic just watching them dive through the caves. Can't imagine coming up with that plan with zero monitoring.
Especially when it takes hours to do each run! Physically and mentally taxing for everyone involved, especially maneuvering each kid through treacherous conditions. And making sure the mask seals are intact. Those kids will probably never enter another cave again
