It'd be so nice to get some idea before the interview, such as what kinda questions to be asked, one on one or group, percentage of being accepted from this pt, how to prepare best, interview timing, etc

anything would be really appreciated!

super excited now !!

We're being interviewed for their first class. They begin interviews in September. Therefore, I don't think anyone has any first-hand information to offer. 😛

you're right

I guess I was so excited and worried at the same time

glad I was invited to be part of the school's first interview process.

I guess you guys can help me then hehe 😀 Good luck!!

When is your interview date? Have anyone already went through the interview process yet?

i wonder how many interviewees would UNE have prior to Dec..😕

With the group interview, was it with all the interviewees having a group discussion interview or just one interviewee and a group of interviewers?

You have 1 one-on-one interview. You have a group Q&A section with the dean while everyone is interviewing.

I haven't heard anything back from this school. My application has been complete for over two months 🙁 I think it is bc I am an out of state applicant. But I still have hope :/ any idea why they are taking so long?

So I also got an invitation from UNE. I went on the UNE's website to do more research about the curriculum, research opportunities, etc., but there was no mention of tuition/fees or financial info anywhere on the website. Does anybody know what the situation is regarding this info?

On a side note, I wanted to get some opinions about UNE. I already have three other interviews during that period, and I don't know how great UNE will be given that next year will be the first year of their school. So, should I cancel the interview or just go to it and then make a decision about the school. I'm just hesitant about going to a school that just opened. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

I have the same questions. I recently got an interview and I don't know much about the school or interview itself. Any feedback would be appreciated 🙂

Oh, and how does the Q&A session work/is it a group interview after the 1:1 interview?

mine was on 10/1 and it was 2 on 1 interview. Very conversational and getting to know you. nothing bad. 1 ethical question and the rest are standard/easy.

It is accredited and construction for patient clinic is expected to be finished by a reputable construction company. They are the ones that constructed the new Pharmacy building (nice building btw).
The Dean tells you his life stories and his philosophy about dental schools (he is the former dean of WesternU).

Being said that he was the former dean of WesternU, don't be surprised when they ask interview questions that ARE the SAME as WesternU.

Hmm. That sounds about right.

I think they're aiming for a class of 46 or 48...that's about the sum total of what I know. Sorry :-/

interesting.

I think they only accept around 46. I had my interview here's my experience:
-12 interviewees
We were first sent up to hear presentations from Dean and other staff about school. Then you're taken back downstairs where they will announce who is interviewing first. Depending on what room your interviewing, you might get one or two interviewers.
-The actual interview is pretty laid back. Try to review Western U's interview questions and familiarize yourself with all them.
-Be yourself and relax..youve gotten an interview and come this far for a reason, theres no need to get overly nervous unless you're just not a very good communicator. lol.
-I had the social responsibility question.
-After the interview you sit in a conference room with the dean for Q&A for about 1.5 hrs. He'll tell you about his specific experiences and what is expected.
-Finally you get a tour of the campus.

Tuition is about $60k, and about $12K in fees. Unfortunately, you're not saving a buck here...

Hi Guys, I am pre-pharamcy and have a quick question regarding the color of the suit for an interview? does it really matter which color to wear? Is gray color formal for woman?
thank much 🙂

Anything is fine as long as you're not showing cleavage, skirt isn't too short, and are wearing tights or w/e if you're wearing a skirt. There's a lot of walking around (for dental interview) at least so make sure you have comfortable shoes.
