Hey guys, I am between three schools right now and would like some thoughts on them. I am applying to the Army HPSP scholarship, just to give some background, interested in Gen Surg and Family Med.

UNECOM

Pros

• Close to home ( I'm from MA)
• Well known in the northeast, good reputation
• Students get decent residencies, have good board pass rates, etc
• Former HPSP students have gotten residencies that interest me

Cons

• Higher cost of living for HPSP stipend
• A smaller amount of HPSP students
• No ultrasound program/ little in the curriculum (important to me)
• Students state not as much biochem in curriculum, a lot of OMM

ATSU KCOM

Pros

• Ultrasound classes with lab
• Very well known school
• A lot of HPSP students
• Cheaper cost of living

Cons

• Location
• not familiar with the area or rotation sites

CUSOM

Pros

• New and nice facilities
• A fair number of HPSP students
• Nice rotation sites (Cape Fear Valley)
• Ultrasound curriculum
• Lower cost of living
• Nice research facility

Cons

• Newer school
• Location
• Mandatory attendance
