UNE
Pros
  • Pass/fail grading system
  • Strong research opportunities
  • Top matching statistics
  • Very strong reputation
Cons
  • Very far from family (from NC/SC area)
  • Cold- very cold
  • Cost of living is higher
  • Rotations in NE

LMU-DCOM
Pros
  • Closer to home
  • Cost of living
  • Rotations in the south
Cons
  • ABC or F grading scale
  • Not a strong reputation
  • Research is difficult to get

UNE is 10k more a year in tuition. I ideally would like to end up in the south for residency.

What specialities are you interested in? If more competitive, you’ll need to be doing research and that makes NE a better option. 10K per year is a drop in a bucket in terms of loans and you’ll repay that quickly as an attending.

If not pursuing any sort of competitive speciality, that makes LMU the better option IMO.

Just here to give my somewhat regular "LMU is a post apocalyptic hellscape" speech. Never heard of UNECOM but it has to be better
