Uneven MCAT Score

I took the MCAT early this year and got a 505 (123/126/128/128). Will the 123 in the Chemistry section be a major detriment? Will I be prescreened from schools? I really just want to receive acceptance to any DO school.

I believe that most schools will pre-screen at 125 for the subsections, but it’s probably school dependent. The newer DO schools might be more lenient about that. You’ll have to check their school websites or email admissions to confirm.

There are some cases here where people have emailed admissions to avoid being pre-screened, but I don’t know if it works 100% of the time.

It depends by school, but you should be fine for quite a few.

I had a 123 in cars and got three interviews, I attended two and was accepted to both I attended.

You need to put in the leg work and contact schools that you are interested in. Some schools say they screen, however with a determined applicant, some may waive the “screen”.
