Hi! All,
I had a very bad experience with Usc school of dentistry. After sending application I had called Meghan multiple times but everytime she used to say that, if anything will be missing you will be informed through email. Just a day before starting applications review, Meghan sent me an email that my TOEFL score reports are missing. I immediately called ETS, they said they have sent the reports 30 days ago. So, I requested Meghan and Assistant dean Sandra if I can fax them the report meanwhile ETS resend them the original report, but Sandra very rudely said she cant do anything in this matter and application won"t be reviewed.
I'm so disappointed with the way they treat international students. If they want reports to be sent directly to them by the organisations then they should understand the postal services mistakes or delays and should not punish applicants for this.
Had anybody experienced the same, If yes please reply.

Some thing similar happened to me, ETS send my score report long back.I called USC couple of times if they received it but the answer was always NO. Today I found out that because of different name on my score report they did not add it to my file even though they received it long back and my file remained incomplete till today.I did send them a copy of my score report with my application form to avoid such confusion 🙁
 
They did the same to me in a different dental school. The person in charge was also not very understanding of the situation. I believe ETS has a lot to do with it. They mailed my scores later than scheduled to universities I requested. ETS should be more reliable with the dates they set up for mailing scores. I do not think there is much we can do. Just give yourself plenty of time to meet their deadlines.
 
I had the same experience with USC. they e-mailed me after the deadline, saying that my NBDE and TOEFL original reports are not available. But fortunately she found them after two days and thank god for that.
I personally feel that ETS has to take some actions regarding the delaying of score reports.I really had very bad experiences with ETS and I always had to order my score reports twice by phone.
 
I paid fee four times to ETS to send my TOEFL score to UTHSCSA....they take AGES to send the score after giving them a million e-mails....
 
So far my worst exp has been with USC .I really feel they are harassing us coz its not in our hands .I sent my evals more than a month ago and called Meghan several times to find out if they recieved evrything her answer was if anything is missing they will let me know .Last tuesday i reciEved a mail saying my EVAL has not reached and if she doent get it in a day or 2 my application wont be reviewd.

WES had sent it to the office of admissions instead of her office but she refused to oblidge to get it from there i had to pay an additional 60$ to have it overnighted but WES gave me a hard time as well taking their own time to send it .But i do agree they are misusing their authority they can be a bit more understanding that its not our fault .

these are the really bad experiences.r u guys requesting ur score reports(TOEFL) by filling the additional score report form and then sending it by mail....u can also request additional score reports by simply calling by a touch phone.the number is 1-888-863-3544...all u need is a credit card, ur 16 digit test appointment number, ur test date, date of birth and the institution and department codes for the schools u want ur score reports to be sent...this is a automated service and they charge $10 per call and $17 per score report and u can request a maximum of 6 reports per call..
 
and one more thing ur test scores are send within 4 business days of ur call...
 
I have noticed onething in U.s Dental schools admissions dept is they are highly incompetent.They bloody do not know what exactly to do.Calling applicants and asking to provide the documents in 2 days what an unreasonable itch is she.Perhaps USC should think of firing her atleast seeing these therads.I heard they disrespect especially indians at most asp programs.I think all indians should stop begging them for progams and show some self respect.
 
Last year, USC charged 1000 $ for instruments only for technical exam. it is very difficult to pay so much money only for one interview.

hi!meverick i totally disagree with you.US dental schools never disrespect any body based on the nationality.And for ur kind information there are lot of indians in the ASP programs in most of the schools.If there is such a thing as u mentioned there would have been no indian in the dental schools.i doubt ur an indian...otherwise u should have never given such a immature statement.I know some ppl had really bad experiences...

ETS People sucks ... Its a BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY - NOTHING ELSE ... MFs - (@%%-*&)s
 
TOEFL is horrible...I have had multiple bad experiences with them. My UCSF application got invalid due to them.

hi fido..is it correct that nova charges $2500 just for the interview..but what does that mean..do they have a practical test and is this the cost of instrument or just the interview.pls elaborate on this doubt of mine.

not to forget fellas this is US, if you have sufficient proof that it took them longer to report your score than the written time on there website..and that you applied for report much ahead of time ..still you career is at stake because of anyone elses mistake..take them to court..file a lawsuit..nothing wrong in knowing your rights..it is unaffordable for ppl like us to suffer such mistakes. All you have to do is go to a lawyer ..tell what happened.. show the proofs..he will take your case for free and ask you for some percentage of commission out of your compensation. Make use of your rights ...and dont let yourself suffer because of others..its very frustrating..but we got to do something about it.
 
I have had a similar experience with ucsf.they saidthat they had not received the papers (I'm not sure what happened because they gave one too many papers missing) but I can say this-they were extremely polite about it.
 
Same here . But I got the confirmaton letter from ETS said that the score reports had been sent out to the schools I required. The confirm letter reached me about 2 or 4 weeks before the schools deadline. The ppl in UCLA &UCSF were quite polite though and they let me fax copies to them. I suspect that the school system have some problem.
 
I am facing the same problem with ETS to send my scores to UTHSCSA dental school, I keep mailing and calling Babara about my problem if they have received the scores she never replies and after number emails she replies saying that we cannot do anything if ur originals dont reach us we are not resposible and my application status will be left as incomplete???????????

ETS informed me saying that they have sent it like for 3 times and the dental school replies that they have not recieved.when the program opened i personally talked with Dr.Bohnenkamp, the program director he said that there is no institution code so will have to ask toefl to send it to his postal mail code address i did that 2 times but they did not receive it and again recently when they updated their institution code again I had requested ETS to report to new destination.After all this turmoil they have stiill not received ......WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO?????????

So i though this will not work then i attached the personal email that Dr.Bohnenkamp sent me when the program opened their applications along with my request to pls consider the notarized copies of toefl that I sent them .......IT HAS BEEN 4 WORKING DAYS AND 2 EMAILS TO THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR he has not ansered anything......what is happeing I dont what to do whom to ask ......Babara, she is very rude .......what she says is this" I canot do anything that is ur responsibility.....if we dont get the documents ur application will be invaild"....what am i suppose to do.....DEADLINE IS CLOSING IN ......🙁 🙁

Hi,

I paid ETS fee four times to send my TOEFL score to UTHSCSA.... I have had almost a similar problem...now the best thing for you would be this (with my personal experience I am saying this) -
Just call ETS and order over the telephone for your TOEFL scores to be sent to UTHSCSA and mention the institution code - 0345 and department code - 00 or 99.... if you order over the phone they will mail your score in 4 working days ... this is what I did finally and now my TOEFL score did reach UTHSCSA finally....

There is one other option.
One can order, to your home address,score reports in sealed envelopes which you can later send to the various institutions. Atleast then you dont have to depend on ETS or others. But one has to confirm with the schools if that is fine with them. I did the same with BU with ECE reports and they accepted.
 
i paied ETS twice for toefl score to send it to UT san antonio...its horrible..
 
Hi, that is true as i experienced that last year with USC. they kept telling me that they would contact me in case they need any documents and the last day they said that they didnt receive the TOEFL scores. and when i said that i can fax those copies to them they said that they wont accept them. hmmmm....... guys i dont think its coincidence. Well anywayz i got thru n am in NYU school. Well FIDO, what do u think of the school(NYU). Anywayz guys me n fido r classmates in NYU. keep trying adn all the best guys wid other schools. USC SUCKS..............:meanie:

this really sucks!
The worst part is, that when you call ETS and ask them if your score reports are out...the stupid idiots give u an imcompetent answer like 'yes maam, out computers show they have been mailed out'...and u ask...WHEN, 'sorry maam that information is not available........sometimes i just want to say...@%@#$%@$%@##%$ what are u getting PAID FOR?????????????????????????????
 
Something similar happened to me too. I had applied to another dental school & never received any information regarding my application.So I kept calling them many times & they said 'we are still reviewing,u will get an e-mail/letter regarding application status.' I kept calling & waiting & finally when it was when they started sending invitations for interviews I called again ,the person who answered asked me to e-mail them. I did so,still no reply.So finally I thought ,ok,I may not be eligible for their interview.
After all their interviews & admissions I sent another e-mail at least tell me what is going on. Finally I got an answer saying that they cannot invite me for interview and also one more thing -They have not received my ECE report!! They will reconsider my application for next yr provided THEIR HIGH APPLICATION FEE[obviously!!]

I surely did send all the documents.Now I don't know who to blame[and of course there is absolutely no use now]. But shouldn't the admissions office send me letter/e-mail to let me know that they didn't receive my ECE report way before? Why they told me after all the admissions?I mean I paid the most compared to other schools,for the application.Dont they have the courtesy at least to let me know,after me calling them & sending e-mails?

I just felt really bad ,coz this is not how I thought.Dont they give any value for our application,I mean nobody will send these for fun??

can you please say which school you experienced this with....the reason i am asking is because so that the people who are going to apply in the future can be cautious and KNOW that 'this' school does that and they can plan in advance and contact the school to make sure they received all the documents.
