I'm a college freshman right now so I don't even know why I'm choosing to ask about this now, but I have an Instagram account where I post about political issues I am passionate about (feminism, healthcare equity, etc.) and I have amassed over 130,000 followers throughout the time I've run this platform. Would this be a unique extracurricular/hobby to discuss on applications in the future? For extra reference, I have a full tuition scholarship to the college I attend now, and in my interview for the scholarship, most of my questions were related to the Instagram account.

You'd have to be very tactful in how you approached this, imo. Political issues are a controversial topic potentially and insta influencers can be perceived in a negative light as well potentially. I would take the things you're passionate about on your account and put them into action via the activities and such that you choose to do throughout your time in college. You may find that you don't even want to go to medical school in a few years so I'd just let it play out and re-evaluate then.

You can do better.
