Did anyone have trouble regarding essays which asked for specific abilities and qualities that you possess which would like lets say contribute to a) educational environment or the diversity in the class...... how would abilities and qualities contribute to diversity? meaning sports, languages.... i would appreciate anyone lending thier thoughts on the subject.
 
I'm certainly no expert, but I would think that students who have varied academic/extracurricular backgrounds contribute to diversity of thought. For example, a class made up of a great writer (maybe an English major, wrote for school newspaper, etc.), a philosophy major, an athlete, a public health major, etc. will have varied perspectives and, thus, can learn from one another (i.e., philosophy major might have interesting perspective on moral issues, while public health major would have insight into public policy aspects). What are some of your extracurriculars/hobbies/talents? There's probably a way you can tie them in (or even discuss more general skills, like being a good listener, a good public speaker, open-minded, etc.)

no i had noo trouble at all besides being lazy and obnoxious editing. I love those essays cause from a rhetorical standpoint you can make them extremely performative. Huh, what does that mean? For instance, say, i like to ask many questions and understand what medicine's relationship to law is, then through out your essay you ask questions, and try to reason your way through them. Be creative. Show them, don't tell them.

For a educational environment focus on your thinking process, talk about how you can contribute to medical discussions from your particular point of view. whatever that is..

For diversity, if you put sports and languages, if I was a committee member i would assume you had a great amount of leisure to do this and thus sound like the rest middle to upper class students which will not make you unique. Having said that, think deeply about diversity, what does this arbitrary word mean to you, define it and, then create an arguement.

Now, having said that always look at these questions like a rhetorician. Use words like educational environment, diversity, special, unique to your advantage. They did not give you any example so essentially you can define these words however you want, just don't be so extreme.

What happens to the person that has most of these attributes?
