Hi All,

I just received my first interview with the University of Glasgow and am very excited 😀! With that being said, what are my chances of getting in at this point? Does the University of Glasgow interview all of their US candidates or just a select few? Let me know if you have any insight. Thank you kindly!!!

No one can really give you an exact number of your chances of getting in. The applicant pool number changes year to year. They do not interview everyone who applies. Many people have already gotten rejections. They also do not take everyone they interview. You can expect the number of matriculating students to be under 40 from N. America. VMSAR may have numbers from last year of how many apps, but the number really has changed quite a bit year to year.

If it helps at all, on the glasgow website it said that last year they had 72 spots for EU candidates, had roughly 1500 applications, gave about 250 interviews, and accepted about half of those interviewees. No idea on what the breakdown is between EU and non-EU applicants, or anything else, but it's definitely a good thing that you've got an interview! Honestly though, don't worry about numbers and just focus on prepping for your interview so that you can blow them away, and you'll have the best shot of getting in! 🙂
