University of Hawaii PGY2 position

Hello….

I noticed that University of Hawaii is looking for PGY2s in psychiatry. Can anyone in the program tell me a bit about their experience in the program and why there are unfilled PGY2 and PGY3 positions? I am doing my postdoctoral fellowship abroad, and had planned to wait until next year to start looking for PGY2 positions, but I would take the opportunity to apply and fly out for an interview if residents are happy and doing well there.

The residents I met when I interviewed were very happy there and really emphasized how close-knit they are as a group. As far as I gathered, the resident left due to family matters, not because she was booted from the program.
