Hey guys,

Anyone have any information (good or bad) regarding the Emergency Medicine program or EM/IM program at UIC?
I'm considering an away elective there is why I'm asking.

Any input would be appreciated!

There EM program is affiliated with Illinois Masonic Hospital, right? Masonic, according to my EMT training is Illinois's, or at least Chicago's, only level one trauma center. That should be fun, right? Everyone there seemed nice as well, when I did a EMT rotation there.

Masonic is a Trauma I, agreed, but Chicago's got a handful more. Stroger (county), Northwestern Memorial, University of Chicago Hospitals, and Mt Sinai, plus a few nearby in the close suburbs. I can't say much one way or another regarding UIC's EM program, sorry. I'm just a first year at this point =).
