Has anyone had their status change from "invited for interview" to "received/under review"?

I had seen in threads from last year and previous years that some people who interviewed had their status change and some didn't. I didn't know if it was important or not.

oh i see! mine did it for my touro interview but maybe this school is diff; not sure!

do the schools report how many interviews are offered as well as state how many were in state and how many were out of state?

I have the dental school explorer data, but from my research, Iowa interviews around 240-250 applicants, instead of the 133 which are reported in the dental school explorer

I have seen the same thing. Iowa clearly shows on their entering class profile that the interviewed number was 240 students yet the number interviewed as listed in the dental school explorer is just 133. From looking around, I believe 133 to be the total number of students accepted. I think this number is different from the reported 240 because not all schools report the number of students interviewed. This also makes sense because it is reasonable to believe that around 133 students would need to be admitted to fill their class of 80 (almost all of the IS residents attend (57 accepted but 54 matriculated to Iowa) and for OOS residents, 76 accepted, 24 matriculated to Iowa (which makes sense, assuming that a good amount of those accepted OOS will go to their state school). 76+57=133, about half of 240. I feel that for Iowa, it is reasonable to expect that about half of those interviewed will get accepted.

As far as knowing how many interviews were offered to IS vs OOS residents, I don't think we know that data.

Additionally, I was interviewed in august, and I think it was in September that the status changed from "invited to interview" back to "Received/Under Review".

I also read past years threads and there may be some evidence supporting the hypothesis that If status changes (after interview), then offer is made.

I hope that is true.

Same here! Would love for a current student to speak up if they know anything about this.

Has anyone had their status change to “invited for interview” immediately after their interview?

This was my fourth time interviewing with the University of Iowa, and for the past three times, my status was changed to invited when I got the invite and stayed the same the whole time until I was waitlisted. Also, based on what I’ve read from previous years, those who had their status change from “invited” to “received/under review” were accepted. My status was “received” the entire time, then changed to “invited” after the interview. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah mine changed to invited for interview right after the interview, then maybe two months later (mid October) it changed to received/under review.

Has anyone's status changed to "Interviewed"? Mine changed today from "invited for interview" to just "interviewed"

Mine is still received/under review but at a different school my status changed to "interviewed"

Now mine says "interviewed" I don't know what to think anymore lol. This happen to anyone else?
don't try to read anything into minor status changes
there is no set way on how to use them, nor do many schools keep them up to date

the only ones you have to look for are: invited for interview, accepted, denied, waitlisted

Today my status changed to “Interviewed”.

After reviewing previous years threads, I noticed the "Interviewed" Status update may be something new this application cycle.

It is hard not to speculate on the significance of these status changes 😅

It would be interesting to see if more readers of this thread report their status changes up-to-present time.

Information is inversely proportional to pre-acceptance-day-anxiety 😄

I am wondering if everyone who interviewed now has the status of "interviewed" as it seems like they changed people with "received/under review" to "interviewed" last Friday and "invited for interview" to "interviewed" earlier in the week.

There was a post on last year's thread that read the following:

"Anyone get an email from admissions for a "Why Iowa?" webinar the evening before decision day?"

Has such an email been sent this year?
