university of maryland acceptance/rejection letters

hi i was wondering if anyone knew when u of maryland responds to everyone about their admission status. I had an interview on feb 3 and i was wondering whether or not this school waits till all of the interviews are over or waits a few weeks after your own interview to send out your admission status. Thanks!

They've notified a number of people they think best fit their school and then will decide on the rest at a later date. After talking with the AdCom, they are still commited to having all notifications out by middle of March.

Has anyone who interviewed on Feb. 11 recieved anything from Maryland? I remember them telling us we would hear from them 2-3 weeks after we interviewed.

It was kind of weird. At my interview they told us they would let us know middle of march, but I received my letter from them 3 days after my interview. So who knows, I would say it can come any time 🙂

I found their inconsistency very disturbing. But congratulations!

I received my acceptance in the mail today... just a 1-page letter. No big packages here. Mine was dated Fed 23.

Thanks! They asked me to send my first deposit by March 9, and I don't expect to hear from other schools before then, so I will most likely be sending in that deposit.

My top choice school would be UCSF, but my interview didn't go that well, so I wouldn't be surprised if I got rejected. If I get in USC, then I will think it through. USC is considerably more expensive, but there are some advantages/disadvantages that I will have to consider. In all, I think I would be very happy at U Maryland next year if that's what it comes down to.

Congradulations to you. I received mine acceptance letter yesterday, and it was dated Feb 23 as well. And I had my interview in the afternoon on Feb 23.

I recieved my acceptance letter on the 12th of march, I am sooooo excited I'm off to UMB for the fall. Good luck to every one out there, waiting is a pain, i suffered so much, just waiting. So try and keep the hope up, everu thing will turn out for the best.
