Haha, you do know that you share the hubcaps, yes? They are enormous and cost 10 bucks a pop (but are enough drink for like 5 people). If you had 2 alone you would be toe up, I guarantee!

Holy crap, that's a lot of margarita. How the heck do you pour them? Or do you all drink out of the same communal hubcap?

I should totally propose that we do this at church, instead of the communion chalice! (I think that's probably blasphemy, I apologize.)

Maybe I'd start going to church with communion like that! 😉

Ha! Now I've gotta convince the old fogies at the Vatican to do it my way.

Shouldn't be too hard...Pope Benedict looks like a real party animal. 🙂

Lol...yeah right.

But on a serious note...I'm worried about our little thread. I logged on this morning and there were no posts since yesterday afternoon. We're slacking off, team. I was about to post something to the effect of (semi-quoting Judy Blume): "Are you there Maryland thread? It's me, SuzieQ". But I didn't have to stoop to that level, and I am eternally grateful.

Cozmosis said:
No, Pope Benedict looks like the devil. Seriously, the dude is way creepy.

I am so bored and no one is posting things for me to reply to 🙁
Hmm...well, my life is entirely boring right now, so I just don't have anything interesting to write about I guess.
I was really bored a few days ago (really bored) and went onto Google Earth to map out different locations in B-more. I even looked up Nacho Mama's. 🙂 It has a push pin so I can quickly reference its location whenever I am in need of a hangover.

I, too, have noticed the recent slacking. I apologize, but I have been more busy at work than usual. I will try to perform my duties. I think we should each have a daily quota.

LW: at least 5 posts/day (I only have 2 so far today 🙁 )

I'll be looking at some apartments at the end of April and hopefully signing a lease. Do you want to live in a house or apartment building? The Univ website has a list of rentable houses that seems to get updated fairly frequently.

Dude, I totally do this all the time, too. It makes sense to me, but it comes out all garbled. Maybe it's like one of those aphasias...perhaps Broca's or Wernike's? (Those are the only things I remember from biopsych from like 7 years ago.)

Must be the curse of us Cancers...😉

Anyhoo, is this my 5th post of Wednesday, or my 1st post of Thursday?

Hmmm...yours is probably worse. With general anthropology you can pretty much blow off a lot of the lecture, study on your own, and get A's. Pretty sure psychopharm doesn't work the same way.

How long ago did you send your LOI to UMD? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! (or we can threaten a hunger strike like we were about to do with LucidSplash to get her in)

Post-interview. I got a nice compelling package (after the interview), I got a good chance as long as there is anything more than minimal in-state movement. Don't mind the waiting because the humbling experience and hard effort will add more meaning and gratitude should I get in. If I don't get in, I'm gonna cry, don't know what to say.

Oh yeah... I'm a cancer too!

Hey Suzie,
I am not that good with the violin. I played when I was younger. But I am good playing the Sax but I don't own one. But I would love to hear your group play. SOOO does listening to your group play qualify for friend status LOL.

I could probably break out my flute every now and then for you SQ - but I'm not promising talent or even the ability to know when I'm in tune....

I think with our group of instruments we could throw something together and call it "modern and atonal"...that way no one would know whether or not we were playing in tune (if you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to a sample of almost anything by Schoenberg).
And yes, you can still be my friend even if you don't play music with me.

Oh, how I hate that guy.

Wow, I'm gone for one day and this shiz totally blows up! Do we have new folks now? Galdoc, what high school did you go to? I grew up in Mont. County as well.

And who said that they were born in Cameroon? That rocks!!! Did you ever see that movie, "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd and JLC? Do you remember the scene on the train when Eddie Murphy pretends to be the foreign exchange student from Cameroon?

"It's BEEF JERKY TIME!!! Do you want some beef jerky?!?"

BTW, I LOVE the musical group idea. I think it should be a Neil Diamond cover band.

We've got SQ and Agape on the violins, LS on the flute, galdoc on the piano, Coz on the sax, and Gentle on the drums.

I'll be the one in the corner with my hands over my ears. :meanie:

Neil Diamond you say? I bet my mom would be really into it...she used to love Neil Diamond when I was growing up. But LW, it won't be a very good cover band without some wicked vocals....instead of standing in the corner you should be the lead vocalist. 🙂
I'm still all for sounding like crap and labeling it "art", but a Neil Diamond cover band might draw a bigger audience.

LW,

Sorry didn't see that movie "trading places". Had no idea that there was such a scene in the movie.... I can only imagine how interesting that could have been with Eddy Murphy trying to change his accent- I think he's good at that though.

Who is going or who has gone for Good Friday religious services? Wishing everyone a very HAPPY EASTER 🙂 in advance and the spirit of happiness!!!

Lol!! I totally dig. But first, I need to hone my karaoke skillz....my singing ability at present would most likely drive the folks away in droves. Or attract mass quantities of stray cats. (Although I do a mean Axl Rose impression...that might be marketable!)

I was just kidding about Neil Diamond. Everyone knows Barry Manilow is where it's at. 😴

WooHOO!! You too, Gentle! I'm going to St. Matt's around noon for the big mass with the full choir and the DC archbishop. I love Easter-time! It's one of my favorite holidays!!!

(And Trading Places is CLASSIC. I highly recommend you rent it and watch it! The train scene is so funny! Dan Akroyd dresses like a Rastafarian and JLC pretends to be Swedish. It's awesome.)
