Awesome...thanks. I thought so to, but then someone on the pre-allo board was putting ideas in my head and I started second guessing myself.
Someone stole your lunch? What kind of person does something like that?LucidSplash said:I just wanted to say that workplace lunch poachers are the lowest form of scum on the planet.
That is all.

LucidSplash said:And who steals a healthy choice pizza? They're not even any good!
SuzieQ3417 said:I can't say that I've ever tried a healthy choice pizza. How many people do you work with...would it be possible to identify the culprit? You could always start putting your name on it, too. It's kinda lame, but so is stealing someone else's lunch.
LadyWolverine said:Congrats on being done, ladies!!! It's the best feeling in the world, isn't it?!? I'd take you guys out for drinks, but 1) you live too far away, and 2) I have a 7am flight tomorrow. So we'll have to keep it in mind to celebrate in the future.
I withdrew from my other schools today. It was really hard to send those emails, but it needed to be done. I still feel kinda sad, though. 🙁
On a happier note, it's official...I'm a homeowner 🙂
Have a fantastic week, you guys!! I'll see you when I get back from Vegas/Utah!!!
(((hugs)))
Yes, supposedly you can although there are certain requirements you must meet. For instance, you have to register to vote in Maryland, switch your license over, and the majority of your income must come from within the state (so if your parents are out of state and are giving you money you won't qualify...I've also heard that if most of your money comes from loans it is also a problem, but I think some students are protesting this). You should contact the registrar's office since they have a handout on what it takes to qualify.DeigoT said:Does anyone know if you can qualify for instate tuition after the first year?
Congrats LW!!! You're officially an adult. 😉LadyWolverine said:On a happier note, it's official...I'm a homeowner 🙂

solacecomes said:I read this on a Starbucks cup this morning:
"The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life."
Seriously, sending in those decisions last week was pretty liberating.

I tried searching google and came up with nothing. My guess is that they will appoint an interim dean until they start interviewing people for the position. I'm a little surprised they don't have someone appointed already, though, considering Dean Wilson probably gave them significant notice.solacecomes said:So... any word on the dean? Are we going to be dean-less this coming year?
Lol...what is it about guys and not showing emotion? If you bottle all of that inner angst up, it will explode and may lead you to do something bad. You don't want to go postal on your family and friends, right?supa said:Uh...yeah. At least I hoped you weren't a man crying about making a decision. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
That really sucks...sorry to hear that Mix. Have you gotten accepted at other schools?Mixtli said:Man, Maryland put me on low waitlist.I'm in utter disbelief and shock. It would have been awesome to meet all of you guys.Ironically, this summer, I'll be in Maryland working.

supa said:The way I see it, these are the only 3 reasons a man should cry:
1) close family member/friend dies
2) if kicked in the nuts
3) at any time over the last 6 years if you're a Knicks fan and just watched a game at the Garden
