When I logged on today there was this message after receiving my LORs:

Application Status as of 09/22/2004
Your file has had a preliminary screening by the Admissions Office for the MD program. Determination of the next step of review will take place at a later time and you will be notified if your status changes.

Does this mean I am on HOLD?

Anyone else has this message.....

They asked me to send the LORs on 07/19 but my committee meets once a year for April MCAT people and they just sent those evals out last week..... that might have screwed me ...... or it could be anything else.... 🙁

I got an email asking me to submit my LORs........here is the email

Hello from the Admissions Office at the University of Michigan Medical School. At this time, we are requesting that you send in your letters of evaluation. We request three letters: one from a science faculty member, one from a non-science faculty member, and one from any other person of your choice who can evaluate your fitness for a career in medicine. If your school has a premedical committee that provides a letter of evaluation or composite evaluation, that composite can be submitted in lieu of individual letters. In addition, please send us a current photograph of yourself for the file.

Yeah, I got the LOR request on 7/19, sent them in and really haven't heard much. Except that they wanted me to mail them my transcripts, which I did, and I called them yesterday to check on everything and they said it could be a few months before I heard anything! 😱 Then I mentioned that I had heard their interviews were booked until Feb. and the woman I was speaking with said that they usually make more dates for qualified students...so, I don't know what that means, but I have a feeling she doens't mean me. 👎
