Hey all! I just got an e-mail today from the University of Minnesota! Who else is in?! This is too much fun!

Do we have to make our $1000 deposit before they send us the rest of the information that was mentioned in the acceptance letter? It said it was enclosed in that letter.

I just spoke to my friend who is a D1 and they increased our class size to 98 for next year.

I interviewed in October and just got the Rejection Letter via snail mail last week. They updated AADSAS last week as well. I guess I couldn't expect much after my state residency fell through. Good luck to you all!

Hey Trent, Im with you...."patiently" waiting. I interviewed middle of October, how about you?

I interviewed in November. In January, I inquired about my status and the reply was that "we're still considering you" but no timelines for decisions were given.

probably one of the worst days of my life. I am a resident of MN, the only interview I got, and just got rejected today. didnt even get a letter in the mail or email....just saw the update on aadsas. sweet...and of course, on Valentines Day. Could it be any worse. My dreams are just crushed

I'm so sorry, I know the feeling of rejection. Don't give up hope... improve your application and apply again next year! You can do anything you honestly want to do.

P.S. The mailed rejection letter will show up at your address in a couple days. (At least that's what happend to me)

any spots left. I got into a few schools but submitted my depo to temple. Minnesota is my top choice, hoping there is a 1/1,000,000 chance "your saying theres a chance". If not i guess ill thug up a lil in philly.

We just got an updated class list yesterday and it had 87 names on it. UMN has a class of 98 students... if that helps at all.

Congrats to all who got in! At my under-grad school, U of M is the Johns Hopkins of dental schools and I've watched people compete with each other for acceptances for years! I have a handful of friends who got in this year. Considering that it is one of the nation's finest dental schools, its a pretty big deal that you all got in, and you should be commended on it! 🙂

Wondering if anyone has gotten accepted, rejected, or waitlisted in the last few weeks at Minnesota. Others like myself waiting patiently?? Anymore updates to the class list? Anyone have any ideas about timelines when those last spots will get filled?

I contacted them a few weeks ago and they are still reviewing my application. I'm getting anxious to find out something as I have been accepted elsewhere but am waiting to hear from MN before beginning to make final plans for the fall.

First off, to those who were rejected this cycle - hang in there! (I know exactly how you feel, because I got rejected by the U last cycle.) You can do it, you can reapply, and you can get in! Hang in there, and consider the year off a nice break.

Also, as far as I know: financial aid, scholarships, etc. information will go out once the class list has been finalized... so, I'd watch for all that in June.

Thanks for the kind words Ajam, I just got rejected this morning 🙁 Anyway, no year off for me, I'll be moving from Minneapolis to Omaha to attend Creighton this fall. Congrats to everyone who got in and enjoy my city!
