Hey I have quick question concerning the University of Utah Internal Medicine residency program. Do any of you know if the program is D.O. friendly?? Have any D.O's in the past match in the IM program?
I am a MS III at OSUCOM from Utah and would like to go to residency in Utah.

Thanks

Residents are listed in pdf files on the bottom of this page. You can look through those, there are some DOs in there.

Why is that ironmaid ??

Well, there is a huge outflow of DO students from Utah. Many, including myself, would like to return. Considering that, there are very few DOs in any of their residencies, especially compared to the amount of DO applicants. I would say the PM&R program is DO friendly. I was raised in UT and applied to their med prelim year and the their radiology program with usmle 1&2 well above the average for radiology and I was rejected from both. I wasn't expecting a rads interview but I was surprised by the med prelim rejection. oh well, if they don't want me then screw em. lol
I don't want to discourage anyone from applying. I am sure you would be well trained there.

Hey ironmaidenrules

Does the University of Utah require D.O students take the USLME CS exam?

Thanks 🙂
