I received this email from UV:

"Your file is complete and you are in our pool of applicants from where an interview may be extended. This does not guarantee and interview, however.

Our interview season runs through April 1, 2004."

What do you think it means? Is this a Hold? Or does it mean that you are qualified, we will review your application and contact you for an interview?

it was strange though. cause I just called to see if I am complete and that is what they told me. so i am wondering, is it that they screen and then send you to the committee? In other words, I am not sure if I have passed the screening and just waiting to be reviewed.

that is why I asked. So, it is pretty clear to you that it is a pre-interview HOLD?

It seems like a hold to me. I say that because I was given an interview there initially without receiving an email like that. I don't recall if they sent a note saying my application was complete or if I called and asked, but I definitely didn't get an email like that.
