I reached out to Dr.Coldwell a few times and never heard back. I've improved my app as a whole though.. so kind of weird i didn't receive an invite this year but did last year.

you are just going to have to be patient

Does anyone know how the waitlist situation works. I interviewed 9/12 so I’m trying to stay positive hand hope I get on it

Do you know like if there was any trend of like people who had earlier interviews were higher up on that waitlist? I’m looking for any glimmer of hope 😅
 
no, it seemed like there was no priority re: interview dates. to be honest it seemed quite random

did you received emails about December Update which was about like "the first round of admission has been made and the final decision on your application not made. More offers of admission through the beginning of March before forming an alternate list (waitlist)"?
That's what I received today at 11 AM PST

i didn't "received" one, but others did...
 
I'm really lost on how the admission process works. Do they try and fill the class from the first round, then if the seats don't fill, they will send the second round? Or is it like a select number like 20 people or so? Did they make a waitlist, I heard some that got invited to the waitlist, is that like a list for after they do all the rounds.

Did anyone else hear back after the first rounds? I got the December email to wait for other rounds.

They have enough people on their waitlist in december. So if you did not receive a waitlist email then it's a soft rejection. You will get an official rejection too sometime in March.

So the send offers, make a waitlist, and those who don't take the offers they will be replaced from by those in the waitlist. If waitlist doesn't fill the class then I might be considered. Nice to know 🙂

Welp can't do much but wait, guess I'll see next month.

I hope you get in somewhere!! It was def a top choice for me solely bc its in state. My friend is a D4 there and they did not have a good experience. Pretty outdated and very competitive.

It's not looking so good out of state for me plus I really don't want to, last year my application got messed up so I missed it. I guess I'll wait to see what happens with this one. It's my top choice as well. Did you receive anything from them?

How are you informed of this? Did they communicate this that they are not going to do any further interviews? Thank you

I was curious as well and decided to ask them, here is what they told me below. They usually don't do more interviews once they start with the admission process. I had a situation last application cycle and they did me an exception to do an interview.

-The admissions committee aims to fill the majority of the class in the first round. We currently do not have a waitlist. The admissions committee is still in the process of reviewing applications. Once a waitlist is formed, those on the waitlist will be notified. The waitlist is primarily considered in March after additional rounds of offers are completed. At the moment, applicants who were not offered admissions on December 13th, means that their application is still under review.

Last cycle my application got finalized and submitted in like end of December, so I reached out to them and asked if I could be interviewed. Not sure what you'r case is like, but you can reach out to them and see what they say. Did you apply elsewhere, and if you don't mind me asking what kind of experience and scores did you apply with?
