For the past two years in a row, students have reported on this forum that some UW decisions were released today (February 10) via the on-line application portal. Has anyone received any word yet: accepted, wait-listed, or rejected?

Do you all see a "status" button on your application portal? The only clickable link on my page is "check application". I mean, under status all it says is submitted.

Not yet! I've been refreshing every ten minutes... 😛

Me too, ADPT2B! My productivity for today is completely shot... And my status is STILL just "submitted" after 100+ refreshes!

"Check application" is the only clickable link on my application portal, too. I'm not sure what previous posters mean by the clickable "status" link... Maybe "status" becomes a link when you get an offer?

When you click "check application" you will be taken to a page that says "Graduate Application Status." Under that it says: "Application status: submitted 10/19/2015" for me.

I just got an acceptance email! It was also posted under "check application"

Congrats, azwildcat16! That is so exciting!! Still waiting here, too, mmaRanger. 🙂
Haven't heard anything either. Should we have heard by now? It says on the online portal by "late February" ... Thought it was supposed to be mid?

@sjv37 they do it in waves. I applied and submitted 8/4/15. I was hoping they would post decisions based on when they got the applications, but since they don't have rolling admissions there's no telling what order they go in. :/

...hmm thanks for the heads up!

Sent my applicantion the day before UW's deadline (12/14 I think?) and received an acceptance email on Friday.

I still cant believe it...

Man, congrats! UW seems like such an especially hard program to get into.

It took me three tries. I still have a lot of unanswered questions about previous applications and why they selected me this time. The process has been overwhelming to say the least.

Congrats on getting into UW! I'm surprised you heard back so fast even though you turned in your applications so late. I turned in my applications in late-September and I have yet to hear back from them. If you don't mind sharing, what were you stats?

Ditto! Congratulations to those who were accepted. Huge accomplishment! I too am awaiting a reply from UW and preparing for bad news 🙁

I was accepted Friday afternoon but will be declining so I hope that helps someone!

Does anyone know if UW does an admitted students day- or has some way to visit campus and learn more about the program in person?

Well, I just heard from UW DPT Admissions. They placed me on the alternate status (#30). Historically they have offered up to 84 alternates admission (2014), but as low as 25 (2015). So, there is still hope. UW would be ideal, since I own a house here in Washington. Plus, my husky pup would definitely dig my t-shirts and hoodies. If I am so inclined to receive an offer, I will post it to this forum. Good luck to everyone else.

Im curious how you got your rank? Do they only do that for IS applicants? I emailed to ask where I was in the waitlist but they said they didn't rank us, that if a seat comes available they will look over all of the alternates and choose someone who is the best fit given the spot available (I'm assuming based on interests, etc to keep the class well rounded?)

I received my rejection e-mail today: womp womp. Congrats to those of you who received good news today, and I will be crossing my fingers that they make it to 30 this year, mmaRanger!!! Washington University in St. Louis, here we come!

Has anyone not heard back yet? I haven't gotten any emails, good or bad, so I'm not sure what to think haha

I haven't heard anything either

Maybe they're waiting to see who accepts/declines to send out more acceptances and alternates? No news may still be good news at this point! For what it's worth, the rejection was sent as an e-mail AND posted to my portal at around the same time.

I hope it is good news!

When I called they said if you don't receive a letter by Wednesday to contact them. I'm in CT, almost as far away as you can get, and I got mine today. You can also email them and ask for your decision letter. I hope your acceptances are just lost in the mail!

Hello all,

I've been watching this thread while waiting on tenderhooks to hear back from UW, and I just did today so I decided to make an account. I am #10 on the waitlist, of which they informed me via email today (Feb 16th).

They asked that waitlisters not request updates on their position until Mar 15th, so I'm going to hazard that that's when the acceptees have to have their deposits in by. They also said that in the last 4 years, they've burned through 25 and 84 waitlisters to fill the class, so there is hope for all those waiting. For those interested, my portal status has not changed from "submitted".

It seems strange they would give number rankings for the waitlist for some people but not others... seems sketchy.

I'm going to put in a deposit at UPS to be safe, but if I bumped up the list at UW and get an offer I'm going to accept. Here's to hoping you guys get some good news in the ensuing days!

I'm not sure about this either. However, I did attend an open house two years ago in December. I will be contacting the school to schedule a tour. I can't imagine that they won't be willing to offer one...

Good luck to you. Yeah, it's been inconsistent in the past. The other year, I was one point away on their application grading scale from being qualified to make the waitlist. I think your odds are pretty good at this point. Hope that you will join the class!

So I volunteered with a pre-PT student in the past and he had a friend that just so happened to call on the right day after he/she was previously rejected from UW. It just so happened that their waitlist thinned down significantly and they were offered a spot on the waitlist (not sure of the position number) and ultimately made it in. They have some criteria for ranking because everybody's application is scored. From what I recall, it's a 2-44 scale, with a score of 22 or so being the cut-off for the waitlist. At least, that's what I learned last year.

Did you hear via email mmaRanger?

I'm IS and haven't heard anything yet.
Speaking from experience, I was a recipient of a rejection e-mail for the past two years if I did not hear anything the week that initial acceptance offers were made. That's not to say that your chances are completely shot, but it's something to take into consideration if you have other offers. I know that at least two or three others intend to decline their offers, so I really hope that everything works out in all of your guys' favor!

Officially declined via the online portal today - that opens up a spot for someone! Good luck guys 🙂

Waitlist number 51. Had to email them -- no letter and no change on the Graduate Application.

Waitlist #46. E-mail this morning. In-state. Accepted to UPS and Eastern wa so I'll probably put a deposit down elsewhere considering they only got through 25 on the waitlist last year.

I contacted UW about an admitted student day or tour/meeting students and faculty. They told me that I was free to visit the building they are housed in, and that students/faculty may be walking around, but they don't set up any formal/official tours. Kinda bummed about this- I was really looking forward to visiting the campus and interacting with people from the program. @CSCS206 just a heads up if you were planning on contacting them about a tour.

Anyone who's gotten in to UPS or UW, I'd love to see some stats. I do my best to stalk quietly, but many of you haven't posted in the GPA etc thread.

Thanks!

For those that emailed... How did you phrase the email? Still haven't heard so figure I would just send an email! Thanks!!
