I think most have restrictions on the size of the dog. It would probably be best just to search the web. Most students live 15-20 minutes away from the school. A house might be your best bet!!

Do most dental students at UNLV live with other dental students? Also, I know that there is no student housing because it is off-campus, but does the school help out at all with setting the dental students up with other students for roommates/housemates?

The area right around UNLV is generally not a good place to stay. Check out www.lvmpd.com and click on "crimeview" on the upper left to get an idea of the area's crime rate. Henderson and Summerlin are safer areas, but unfortunately are quite a drive to UNLV.

I am not sure if UNLV will help you with housing or not. I will have to check. In the meantime, I am looking for a roommate to live with in the Summerlin area. I am starting this coming year and am currently living in LV. Since I have to quit my job, I figure it is probably better to get a roommate. Let me know if you are looking as well. Thanks.

I just got my acceptance yesterday and will prob be moving to Vegas in August. I think I will prob need a roommate. Any recommendations on where to live? Are there any apartments where most of the students live?

What up ya'll? I'm moving down in August to start in the fall too. Not sure what I'm gonna do 'bout housing, so if anyone has ideas I'd appreciate the advice. And ya'll should join the UNLV SDM 2012 group on facebook.

I recieved an acceptance yesterday, but also recieved an acceptance to USC. I currently live 5 minutes away from UNLV dental school in the Myan apartments, with a current second year dental student. I would recomend these apartments. If you live in the Summerlin area get ready to pay a lot. I pay about 450 for a nice 1200 square foot place with washer, dryer, and my own bath. look forward to seeing you all in late August. 😉

Isn't the area 5 min from the school generally not a good area? Where are the Mayan apartments located (cross streets, im very familiar with the city)? I was going to try and find a cheap condo in the Summerlin area just because I like the area. Would it really be that much more expensive just because it is in Summerlin?
